Sr. Consultant
Rachel is a Sr. Consultant at BlackFin Group, and an actively practicing attorney whose practice includes mortgage origination and compliance consulting, with an emphasis on home equity conversion mortgages (HECMs). Over the past ten years, she served two of the leading RLOS solutions: first as Compliance Analyst and In-House Counsel at ReverseVision, then as Sr. In-House Counsel and Sr. Product Manager at QuantumReverse. During her time with ReverseVision, Rachel worked in numerous capacities, such as product manager, compliance analyst, and in document preparation. For QuantumReverse, she drove numerous successful projects which brought cutting edge technology solutions to a unique compliance landscape; namely, reverse mortgage origination and underwriting. All of her work has required a deep understanding of both federal and state consumer finance laws and regulations, including most of the financial services alphabet soup, such as TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, and the Dodd-Frank Act. Rachel’s passion is building and delivering compliance and education programs, marketing, and customer-focused technical solutions that alleviate compliance-based operational pain points. Based in Raleigh, NC., Rachel is involved in multiple mortgage industry associations and is an active member in her local community as both a volunteer and with her growing family.
