KEITH KEMPH

President & CEO

Keith Kemph is President & CEO of BlackFin Group. He is a twenty-seven-year veteran of the mortgage banking, consumer lending, and financial services industry. Keith has dedicated his career to helping firms ensure successful execution of critical business and technology projects that will allow them to operate more efficiently and effectively. Keith's career includes progressive management and executive roles with Citigroup, Bank of America, Dime Bank, and Merrill Lynch. Keith began consulting in 2008, first as an independent and then spending seven years with a nationally recognized, top tier financial services consulting firm in the role of Managing Consultant, where he worked on multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects. Armed with years of financial services and management consulting experience, Keith developed a vision of bringing a new consulting model to market –one that provided transparent, fixed rate, project pricing. This was the impetus that birthed BlackFin Group. Keith has extensive experience working at lenders, banks, software vendors, service providers and consulting practices, which led to his gaining a broad level of expertise in business strategy, sales and marketing, operations, technology, training and cultural transformation. He is well-versed in arriving and implementing strategies that help both the top and bottom lines for businesses of all sizes. In addition, Keith holds significant experience with the latest technologies that effectively support enterprises and their partners. He has developed a vast, trusted national network of expert resources, which has quickly positioned BlackFin Group as a leader in business and technology consulting. As President & CEO, Keith is responsible for managing the day-to-day strategy, partnerships, and operations of BlackFin Group. Keith regularly attends both national and regional mortgage and financial services conferences, sits on panel sessions and roundtables, serves as a regular thought leader in the media, and is an active participant in his local community such as being Chairman of the Board for Umps Care Charity.

MICHAEL SIMON

Chief Strategy Officer

Michael Simon is the Chief Strategy Officer of BlackFin Group. In his role, Michael is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of BlackFin Groups strategic initiatives that will allow us to best serve our client’s needs. Focused on developing and delivering internal and external strategies, products, and services which are in direct alignment with BlackFin Groups vision, mission, and values. Michael’s has over twenty-two years leadership and management experience in FinTech, mortgage banking, and the financial services industry. Most recently, Michael held leadership roles at Ellie Mae and Accenture World-Wide. In his prior roles he has been responsible for leading and managing the development and delivery of multiple multi-million-dollar projects both domestically, and internationally, while managing teams of 120+. Notably, Michael developed and implemented a multi-session training platform for users in six continents, with an audience of nearly 370,000. Michael has a proven history of success in overseeing the development and delivery of strategic initiatives with the likes of TD Bank, UBS, PennyMac, AmeriHome, and University Bank in Michigan. Michael is skilled in the analyzing and designing solutions and services that will deliver high impact results for his firm and our clients. In addition to his extensive experience in financial services, he holds multiple training, management, and agile methodology certifications and designations. Throughout his career, Michael has been a public speaker, trainer, sales strategist, problem solver, negotiator, and collaborator amongst executive teams. Michael is routinely recognized for his global view of an organization, ensuring successful adoption of key strategies and initiatives that maximize ROI of time, money, people, and process. His background in training, change management, project management, coupled with his ability to success design and execute makes him a valuable asset to the BlackFin Group executive team.

BILL CORBET

Managing Director - Strategy

Bill Corbet is Managing Director of Blackfin Group’s Strategy Consulting Practice. A 30-year veteran of the mortgage banking and financial services industry, Bill has held numerous  executive leadership roles overseeing Capital Markets, Technology Deployment, Product Development and Risk Management. Bill’s executive leadership background spans from community banks and independent mortgage bankers to a Top 15 nationally recognized bank. Bill has leveraged a deep understanding of Mortgage Banking  to develop business strategy and translate it into business / customer centric technology solutions; successfully combining the implementation of software with the re-engineering of business processes to deliver enterprise wide technology solutions, regulatory changes, digital tools and risk management models/frameworks.  Bill has led multi-year technology projects and been a strong influencer of vendor, investor and GSE offerings to drive solutions toward maximizing the customer experience – while minimizing risk. Additionally, Bill has structured and managed over 3B in servicing flow transactions, developed a correspondent program for Toll Brothers, and led a collaborative effort with the Federal Reserve in Boston to create the Mortgage Relief Fund. Bill has a keen insight on managing risk leading both the introduction and removal of loan  products/features based on the competitive landscape as well as the forward-looking risk profile. He has also brought a holistic view of the business to interest rate risk management, producing superior results over a wide variety of market conditions. Bill is committed to helping his clients successfully implement the projects he and his team are engaged. Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Natural Resources at the University of Rhode Island.

KATIE EICHTEN

Managing Director - Secondary Marketing

Katie Eichten is the Managing Director of BlackFin Groups Mortgage Lending, Secondary Markets Practice. Prior to BlackFin Group Katie was the SVP of Capital Markets at LendingHome, one of the nation’s leading FinTech lenders, from 2014 to mid-2018. Eichten was responsible for overseeing all facets of Capital Markets for the Consumer Mortgage division. During this time, she was also tapped to be the SVP and GM of the Consumer Mortgage division and was responsible for the tech build out of the lending platform, lead gen, pricing, sales efforts and loan origination. Under her leadership, LendingHome was the first FinTech firm to obtain FNMA lender approval. Previously, Katie was the SVP of Capital Markets for Western Bancorp which included overseeing Risk and QC. Prior to joining Western Bancorp, Katie spent 20 years in various leadership roles within the financial services industry. From 2003 through 2008, Ms. Eichten was a Founder and EVP of LownHome Financial Holdings LLC, a wholesale mortgage lending start-up funded by Goldman Sachs and two New York based hedge funds. From 1999 through 2003, Katie was the EVP Capital Markets and Operations for First Franklin Financial Corporation, one of the nation’s top wholesale mortgage origination entities.  Ms. Eichten held various positions during her tenure at First Franklin from 1986 through 2003, including Vice President Capital Markets, and Operations. Ms. Eichten holds a BSC from Santa Clara University with a double major in Finance and Marketing.

CHRIS MEYERS

Managing Director - Technology

Chris Meyers is Managing Director of Blackfin Group’s Technology Consulting Practice. Chris has over 25-years of executive IT experience in the financial services and mortgage banking industry. Chris is the former CIO of a Top 50, 30-year-old, national retail lender and prior to that served as the Director of IT at a prominent Regional Bank. Most recently, Chris has been consulting lenders and software vendors on numerous business and technology projects throughout the financial services industry. Chris’s consulting efforts are primarily focused on the concepts of IT Strategy, IT Security, Service Management, Program Management, Project Management, and Professional Services. IT Governance, Business Process Mapping, and Enterprise Architecture. Throughout his career, Chris has overseen the development and implementation of the end-to-end corporate IT strategy (hardware and software) and is routinely recognized for his extensive collaborations with executive teams – ensuring the successful delivery of projects, on time and on budget. He is dedicated to helping his clients successfully align technology with corporate strategy, to achieve consistent, sustainable, and cost-effective results. Chris has been ranked as a Top 10 IT Professional in Mortgage Banking Magazine, served on the Client Advisory Board for Metavante Lending Solutions, was Keynote speaker at Annual Mortgage Technology Conference, Presenter at CDM Media CIO Summit in NY highlighting Regulatory Requirements & Cloud Adoption, was Speaker and Facilitator of CIO Discussion at MBA National Conference. Chris earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at the University of Evansville, IN. Chris is programmatically committed to assisting and supporting his client’s success, in any capacity he is called upon for a project.

MONIQUE SHULER

Sr. Consultant

Monique Shuler is a Sr. Consultant at BlackFin Group. Monique has over 13 years’ experience managing a wide range of business projects, technology projects, and project teams in the Mortgage Servicing sector. While Monique may have been primarily specialized in Mortgage Servicing her broad experience in leadership, management, as a business analyst, and a project manager provides her the ability to step into any lender project and support their specific project needs. Before BlackFin Group, Monique managed and worked with multiple project teams while at Clayton Fixed Income Services, Statebridge, and Specialized Loan Servicing – a Fannie Mae ‘Star Performer’ Award Winner. Throughout Monique’s career, she has been responsible for leading and managing servicing operations teams, projects, and collaborating with investors to ensure successful delivery. She has extensive experience in Loan Boarding (Acquisitions and Releases), as Quality Control Analyst, and extensive experience working on Special Loans and Modification teams. She has also served as Operations Manager and Business Control Manager on GSE related projects. Monique is in the process of earning her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. Monique served as panel speaker at the 2018 International Women’s Day conference and was routinely recognized by Statebridge as an outstanding performer. Monique earned her master’s degree at Colorado State University.
