ANDREW WEISS

Andrew Weiss is a mortgage industry technology executive with over 35 years of industry experience, acquired across a number of disciplines including mortgage lending, technology development and management consulting. He currently serves as a Partner with BlackFin Group, where he runs the technology practice.
With experience in Fortune 500 companies, startups and consulting firms, he has led operational and technology teams ranging from five people to thousands. His particular strength is finding the balance between perfect and possible - the leading edge. He then adds value through his ability to understand the business need and motivate high performing teams to deliver the best possible solution.
Weiss previously served as Senior Vice-President of Platform Strategy at Origence, an LOS developer owned by CU Direct. Before that, he was a Principal at STRATMOR Group, leading the technology practice with industry legend Len Tichy. He was also CIO at New Penn Financial, Senior Vice-President of Strategy for Bank of America and an Executive Consultant with Newbold Advisors. Weiss started his career in the mortgage industry in 1991 when he joined Fannie Mae. He served as Senior Vice President of Advanced Technology and led the team that developed Desktop Underwriter.
