Former Ellie Mae, Accenture Executive Joins BlackFin Group

Michael Simon joins BlackFin Group as Chief Strategy Officer. Michael will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of BlackFin Groups key initiatives designed to meet the growing needs of their clients.


Michael has over twenty-two years of leadership and management experience in Fin Tech, mortgage banking, and the financial services industry. Most recently, Michael held leadership roles at Ellie Mae and Accenture World-Wide. In his prior roles, he was responsible for leading and managing the development and delivery of multiple multi-million-dollar projects both domestically, and internationally while managing teams of 100 plus. Notably, Michael developed and implemented a multi-session platform for users on six continents, an audience of nearly 370,000. Michael has a proven history of success in overseeing the development and delivery of strategic initiatives with the likes of TD Bank, UBS, PennyMac, AmeriHome, and University Bank in Michigan.

During his career, Michael has been a public speaker, trainer, sales strategist, problem solver, negotiator, and collaborator among executive teams. Michael is routinely recognized for his global view of an organization, ensuring successful adoption of key strategies and initiatives that maximize ROI of time, money, people, and process. In addition to his extensive experience in financial services, he holds many training, management, and agile methodology certifications and designations. His background in training, change management, project management, coupled with his ability to successfully design and execute, makes him a valuable asset and great addition to the BlackFin Group executive team.
