Hope Communities, Inc. has been a leader in affordable housing in Denver for almost four decades and was founded on the belief that housing is the first step and essential platform to help families move toward self-sufficiency and prosperity. Hope Communities offers programs and services relevant to community needs, such as skills-based trainings and classes for adults and teens, as well as after school programs for all children on property and in the surrounding communities.
Hope knows the holiday season is tough for parents and grandparents on fixed incomes. Each year, Hope tries to alleviate some of that stress by coordinating holiday parties at the Hope properties that include our Treasure Store. The Treasure Store is an opportunity for parents and grandparents to hand select toys, games, books, and winter clothing for their children and grandchildren. While it’s a joy for Hope to give children gifts directly, Hope believes that privilege belongs to adults who love them and work hard to support them all year round.
This year, Hope collected over 600 new, unwrapped gifts. Each party was a success and every family was able to find multiple items for their children or grandchildren.
